Green Street Advisors Expands Scope of Commercial Real Estate Research
Andrew McCulloch assumes newly created role as Head of Private Market Research, with Dave Bragg Hired to Lead Residential Team
NEWPORT BEACH, CA, March 26, 2013 − Green Street Advisors, the preeminent research, trading, and consulting firm, is pleased to announce the promotion of Andrew McCulloch and addition of Dave Bragg to its team. With this announcement, Green Street expands its research on commercial real estate fundamentals, valuations, and return expectations in the private market, while maintaining its best-in-class coverage of the apartment REIT sector.
Andy McCulloch, Managing Director of Residential Research, will be transitioning to lead a new group at Green Street – Private Market Research. “Green Street has identified an opportunity to fill the void in high-quality, private-market research, particularly as it pertains to understanding and valuing real estate in the context of the broader capital markets. Andy will be responsible for helping us fill it, and his work will undoubtedly add insight into our research on REITs,” said Craig Leupold, President of Green Street Advisors.
In this role, Andy will lead the launch of a new set of products and services across five major property sectors, focused on all aspects of the commercial real estate market. “Andy has covered the residential sector at Green Street for eight years, including over five years as sector head, and is uniquely skilled at analyzing property-level fundamentals and conveying them in detailed, yet easy-to-follow, reports,” said Leupold. “Andy will leverage the knowledge of other major-property-sector leaders to produce a suite of products designed to assist investors in making the best possible capital allocation decisions.”
Green Street is pleased to announce that Dave Bragg will be joining the team as a Managing Director to head the coverage of residential REITs, including the single family rental business, in mid-April. Dave brings vast experience, having covered the apartment-REIT sector for eight years, and is well known to most Green Street clients. Dave joins Green Street from Zelman & Associates, a well-respected research firm known for its coverage of the single-family market, where he led the firm’s research of the apartment sector and was involved in research on the single-family-home rental sector. Prior to Zelman, Dave was at Merrill Lynch and ISI.
